This applet is useful for magnifying and exploring images on a web page. Zoom Image is a most
powerful image magnification applet that enables a website visitor to zoom in or
enlarge an image with up to 20:1 enlargement ratio. By moving the mouse
pointer over the image, one can also control the direction and center of zoom to
give the impression of flying around within the image. Zoom image can also be
controlled by using the keyboard arrows for in, out and side direction.

Zoom Image viewer is purely Java-based and is considered the most
advanced image magnification display available for the Internet today. It is
designed to work in all major web browsers on Windows, Mac and Linux computers,
with any GIF, JPEG, JPG or PNG image of good quality. For an image to qualify as “good quality”, it should not be over compressed.
