I would be interested on getting more info in your product "Copysafe", especially if it could be used in the manner I describe below, and the price of the product.

We would need to protect content (JPEG images, though these images could be "encapsulated" in HTML pages, PDF documents, etc.) from being printed without authorization. We would only provide access to printing the image a limited number of times through an online authentication procedure. If the client has permission for printing one or more copies of the document, he/she will be allowed to (that number of times), otherwise access should be denied. Of course,
screen capturing, cache retrieval, and other techniques shouldn't be possible to be used by the client.

Copysafe can be used two ways...

One method is using the program to encrypt all sensitive images which are displayed in our security applet on web pages. Some users have produced this same effect on the fly by loading the parameters in from a database. This method using encrypted images is the most secure way to go.

Another method is to have a single image/applet in the page header or the head of a frameset... when Copysafe is active in any browser page the controls are effective in all browser windows. Although not quite as secure as the first method it is very easy to protect many existing web pages.

Which ever method is used, individual pages can have different levels of security such as:
- allow/disallow save
- allow/disallow print
- allow/disallow capture

What controls this option is the selected js file used on the page. For example you can have several js files for different levels of protection.

All of this is possible as standard options with Copysafe Pro. So to do what you have described would then be a simple matter of adding code (using inserts, asp or JavaScript) that can check a database for user rights, number of visits, etc and then deliver the appropriate js file.

Copysafe Pro costs US$500 to license per web site and includes the ability to also run on intranet or CD as localhost. Extra sites can be registered for $200 each. Copysafe will run from any web site (Win/Linux/etc) so your extra coding can ASP, Perl, Php, etc depending on your forte. The one time license fee includes free support and free upgrades when available (in case they radically change browser features in the future).

Unrestricted plugin downloads are provided to visitors from our servers but you can also provide the plugins from your own site so that you can also configure the download pages/messages (install pack is included with the software).

If you do not have access to the necessary skills for your modifications we can quote them separately depending on the required programming language and requirements.
