OK, so no one has any need to show more than one secure image of a series? I mean the site I am working on has prob 20 different images all of the same subject that all need to be secure... it does no good to secure the main images and leave the thumbnail unsecured now does it? But I cant secure the thumbnail because then I can not give a mouseover or mouseclick effect to an applet... especially not a secure one.
I
don't mind you saying there may not be MUCH of a demand for one... but I need it therefore there is A demand for one. Would appreciate a little more respect to a paying customer. |

Firstly, protecting thumbnails is an overkill. What good are they to anyone without the larger image?
But if wanted, yes, you can of course protect thumbnails (any images) but you cannot add
JavaScript to an applet. However you can add a hyperlink to our applets for opening the larger image on a new page or the same page, or into a designated frameset page.
The solution to your problem is not use the overkill.
Or you can use your imagination and also make navigating your site easier for your visitors... by adding a link under the thumbnail that says "Click for larger image".
You are using a system that took a lot of time and wages to develop. It is priced to be affordable to all users but its pricing does not and never will return its costs back to us. OK, lets take a deep breath and try again... while I agree protecting thumbnails may be overkill in this case i am building a site for a model who has adult themed images and wanted the thumbs protected as well.
I did come to the same conclusions as you did as far as the solutions and ended up using the view larger image button idea..
I am aware of the cost of software development and the fact that it
hardly ever ends up returning its cost to the developers and understand that the support forum here is way above and beyond the norm for most software. I have been a major fan and user of your software and
advocate its use all of the time in the photography and web design circles I deal with, with that in mind I am going to go with the assumption that the general tone of your last paragraph was not meant in a insulting or veiled threat sort of way as it originally came across.
I apologize if my post came across "snippy" as I responded
immediately upon reading the reply to my first post. I do however think the general tone of the reply to my first post was dismissive and
condescending which raised my ire.
Thank you for your help and suggestions and I will assume this closes this incident.

There are actually very many thumbnail programs available and its impossible for us to integrate with all of them. But there is method that can be used to incorporate our secrity applets into most of them.
