Software for user rights management
ArtistScope specializes in the development of software
solutions for the protection of copyright, intellectual
property and privileged information.
In fact ArtistScope introduced copy protection to the Internet
when everyone, including the developers behind our system
software and web browsers, were convinced that it was
impossible.
In the year following the first release of ArtistScope's image
encryption software, two new startups appeared from nowhere
funded by stock market investors speculating on the novelty of
copy protection. With millions of dollars to throw at publicity
and advertising a lot of hype was emphasized about the billions
of dollars that was lost to image piracy each year. Copy
protection became a new frontier and many new startups
appeared, all talking about digital rights management (DRM) for
everything digital.
Of all the early developers of copy protection software, only
one has survived to this day and that is ArtistScope, the
original innovator. How ArtistScope survived is probably best
answered with another question... "why is ArtistScope security
software still the most secure and easiest to use?"
Of course there are many players in this field today, and they
all have things in common:
- their solutions are not original
- their solutions are the best imitation that could be made of
what they do not understand
- they are eager to plagiarize and will do and sell anything
- they will not stop at false advertising or piracy to create
something to sell
Being an expert in how to plagiarize and steal another's
property does not make one an expert on creating copy
protection solutions any more than someone being addicted to
movies being qualified as an expert on film production. If one
has never had any intellectual property of their own and never
had the need to protect anything, what would they know without
doing a search on the Internet and either reading an article
written by ArtistScope or an "original" article that was
plagiarized from another article that was plagiarized from
ArtistScope.
While ArtistScope makes no claims about a lot of the new
buzzwords and abbreviations used in the promotion of DRM,
everything to do with the copy protection of web page media is
Copyright to ArtistScope.
ArtistScope security software can copy protect the livelihood
of artists but it cannot prevent the plagiarizing of its own
solutions or the pollution of the Internet with pea-brained
rubbish.
