Copysafe Web upgrade for version 4.2.0.0 plugins.
The Copysafe Web plugins for Internet Explorer and Firefox have been upgraded to version 4.2.0.0. This upgrade resolves problems caused by interrupted installs and uninstalls. This update is most recommended. Instructions for downloading the new plugins and the updates to be made to your insert file can found below.

The last version of installers was provided from a folder named "plugins41". This new version should be placed on your server in a new folder named "plugins42". To create the contents simply copy all the files from plugins 41 to plugins 42 and then modify the links in the csi insert file and download pages.

The links to change:

   - /plugins42/installers/ArtistScope_IE_42.exe   (download)
   - /plugins42/installers/ArtistScope_FX_42.exe  (download)

The insert file changes are:

   - var m_szOCXname = "ARTISTSCOPE.ArtistScopeCtrl.42";
   - var m_szDLLname = "ArtistScope plugin 42";
   - var m_szDLLfile = "npArtistScope42.dll";
   - var m_szImageFolder = "plugins42/";

An all-in-one silent installer was provided with the previous version which has been discontinued because running in silent mode will not prevent a failed installation and the user needs to be warned before proceeding if:

    - the plugin is already installed and/or in use
    - the web browser hasn't been closed prior to plugin removal

Debugging failed installations:

It's quite possible that the computer may have keys in the registry that were not removed  due to a failed or interrupted plugin removal.  If that's the case the keys will need to be deleted from the registry manually by first doing a search on the following keys:

    - ArtistScope41
    - ArtistScope42
    - ArtistScopeCtrl
    - ArtistScope.ocx

Keys associated with "last run" and MRU" can be ignored. Any other keys fitting the description above can be safely deleted providing the plugins have also been removed from the browser's plugin folder. If the problem persists, then do a Registry Clean to remove all broken registry key links.
