Secure java applet signing for java 1.6 and later.

News The most secure solutions for digital images, documents and web pages.
March 2008
Security applet signing updated for Java 1.6 security policies.
The ArtistScope Java security applet code signing has been revised to resolve an anomaly reported by Firefox users who have update to Java 1.6.  Java 1.6 introduced severe security policy changes that affected Firefox web browsers. While most other web browsers were not affected, Firefox better conforms to web policy and refused to support the event.

The anomaly had been unexplained for some time with Sun Java blaming Firefox while Firefox was blaming Sun. Java developers around the world have been affected by the new security changes which has transformed their applications which were once "run anywhere" to applications that no longer run at all.

To finally resolve the issue, the resource files used by a visitor's web browser have reverted back to jar format and are code signed.

Only Firefox browsers were affected by the change.
