ArtistScope partners Dataline Networks for
hosting in the South Pacific |
To provide a stable and reliable platform for secure web
hosting in conjunction with the Copysafe image protection
solutions, ArtistScope have partnered Dataline Networks, one
the largest network providers in Australia. Dataline provides
the full range of network services enabling smaller networks
and ISPs throughout Australia. They are also the largest rural
network in Australia servicing their own pops throughout
Queensland, the Northern Territory and Central Australia.
Preparation for the new services began in June 2000 with the
relocation of ArtistScope servers from Sydney to Dataline's
headquarters in Brisbane. As ArtistScope's new hosting
partner, Dataline promises to be the stable platform needed to
develop and provide the reliability needed for secure hosting
of Copyrighted and otherwise sensitive intellectual property.
The Copysafe web-hosting program was developed to provide
users with web sites more suitable for security and the
support required to maintain that the content is adequately
protected. The other facilities available in the hosting
packages are specially tailored to meet the requirements of
artists and other professionals trading in images on the

In the past, ArtistScope have employed many services in the IT
industry, mostly ending in disappointment. While developing
solutions to protect the copyrighted intellectual property of
artists and commerce, ArtistScope almost always found that
when developing and trying to protect their own intellectual
property that a major hole was always found within the hosting
providers network. The IT industry in general is mostly
comprised of pirates who utilize free source solutions and are
too ready to copy or imitate any new concept to make an earn.
One only has to look at all the new "companies" that have
emerged claiming to have developed an image protection system.
