CopySafe PDF protector includes both a Windows GUI (executable) and a COM object
which has been specially optimized for command-line operation. The COM object
can be used via a DOS prompt or run from a .bat file. However to increase the
scope of its use there are now additional add-ons to enable you to use the
Protector online, running server side and controllable from your web pages.

DRM Management Portal
With this add-on you can provide a DRM validation service for your protected
eBooks and PDF documents from your own web site. Add users and documents with
total control over their access rights that extends to documents that have
already been downloaded and on a user's computer.

Requires support for ASP and either Access or MS-SQL databases. Also requires a
friendly web host who will allow the installation of a server DLL that's used
for encrypting and decrypting the DRM responses. Installation is as simple as
copying a folder to the root of your web site and setting write permissions on
your upload folders. If your host doesn't allow Windows DLLs then contact
ArtistScope support a web hosting company that is already providing this service
in your area.
DRM Server DLL
This package includes a Windows DLL and Windows processing service to
interface the PDF Protector running server-side with the DRM Management Portal.
Installation of these components require full Administrator privileges and
unless you can find a very friendly web host, you may need to own your own web
server.
Installed with the DRM Portal above you can upload PDF and have them converted
server side for both copy protection and DRM protection. Installed on its own
this DLL can also serve as the interface for your own web pages to control the
protector but only for copy protection... you need the DRM Portal to also
provide DRM.

CopySafe PDF is by far more secure than all other eBook and PDF document
protection solutions because it was designed to be so. Performing a web
search on "extract password from PDF" or "remove DRM from eBooks"
can provide an insight to how
useless most document protection really is. Any similarity
between the total control management of documents provided by ArtistScope DRM
and the "claims" of other document solutions is
not a coincidence.
